L'esodo degli umani dalla zona (che è ancora fortemente radioattiva) ha fatto sì che gli animali selvatici ritornassero in massa (anche perché, se ho capito bene, nelle vicinanze c'era già una riserva naturale). Non so come se la cavino con la radioattività, ma sicuramente nessuno li disturba, e vivono piuttosto bene...
Mi è venuta in mente quella poesia di Sara Teasdale che è citata in "Cronache Marziane" di Ray Bradbury:
There Will Come Soft Rains
There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white;
Robins will wear their feathery fire,
